Fi went through the separation anxiety at around that age too. The weird part was that if we left the building, she was fine. But, if she knew we could be accessed (i.e. church, at home with a mommy's helper), she would flip out. Hooray for a relaxing long weekend. I hope things calm down for you at work soon.
