Just found your site and read your "About" page. I love how honest you are! Your story is very inspiring.

My husband is the biggest baby when he is sick. We stay up all night doing a candle light vigil for his recovery. But when I'm sick? Nothing changes. :)

Men are such babies! At least your socks were the same brand :) Have you tried the skin brushing yet? I am interested to hear your take on that.

By the way did I ever mention my traditional doctor story? When my mom passed away I went for an annual physical and the doc knew my mom had passed. She asked how I was doing and I said I cried a lot every day. She told me I was depressed and needed Paxil. I took it for 2 weeks before I realized that she was an idiot and it was NORMAL for me to cry every day!!!!!! I felt like such a zombie on it and I KNEW I didn't need it- grieving is normal.

Anyway, ever since then I am very skeptical of traditional doctors for lots of things. Western medicine is great for certain things, but Eastern medicine always seems to solve the issues that Western medicine can't.

Chelsea! I caught up on all your posts on the plane ride (an amazing feat- you write a lot haha!) I knew I had to read every single one though because of your doctor appointment! What a quack!

OK, I don't actually think she is a quack, but it is so incredible that a normal doctor probably wanted to give you a pill, and the naturopath is suggesting all of these amazing things. I bet they work. I am SO excited for you and so happy that you made the time to go take this appointment AND that you are following the advice so closely! I hope you feel better asap.

I wonder if she told you what the foot treatments are to correct?

My mom's cousin in Italy went to a natural doctor once who put her on this very interesting diet where she had to eat certain foods in certain orders at certain times of the day, and her illnesses were cured. She now feels better than ever even though she has to meticulously follow this diet at least 5 days in a row per week.

Also, for a sweet.. how about these ideas:
-a small piece of very dark chocolate (won't contain dairy)
-an orange
-2 strawberries blended with a few cubes of ice and some fresh squeezed orange juice for a mini smoothie?
-a piece of real coconut

My mom and dad just had the same illness and it was so interesting to see how differently they each handled it. She just powered through, coughing away, but he had to stay home from work for two whole days. When men fall, they fall hard!
