Understanding Exposure
A group of friends and I are reading the book Understanding Exposure to better our photography skills. I read the first chapter on Saturday night and was excited to play around yesterday. All of these pictures were taking on M so I figured out the aperture and shutter speed. It’s been so long since I used a manual camera that I had forgotten how to use the light meter-der! Now it’s not so hard to take pictures on M!

I was playing with my shutter speed here and thought that this was a pretty picture.
Not the best picture by any means, but I love Lu’s face.
We’re in the thick of potty training!
Lu’s lunch.
Lu’s lunch companions (I wish Mo (the doll with red hair) was in better focus).
Tofu! (Love this picture!)
Cauliflower (playing with the focus):
This is fun!!!

Um…THREE potty chairs? How many little ones are you potty training? 🙂
One for upstairs, one for downstairs, and one for the car. Lu wanted ALL of them upstairs though and when it comes to potty training, she gets what she wants!
The tofu looks like caramel candy…which is making me crave caramel candy. 😀 Did you make it yourself? Are you baking it? Tell me more about this tofu picture!
I baked it at 350* for 40 minutes (turning at 20 minutes) with olive oil and cumin, garam masala, and salt. Unfortunately the tofu was really sour and didn’t turn out well 🙁 Usually it’s great like this!
Great post! I’d love to hear more tips! =)
Aww beautiful! I think my favorite picture is the flowers in cloudy. 🙂
Love these pics!
We are also working on PT Katie. Started with a potty chair but found that she really just treated it like a toy. Up, down, off, on. She asked to sit on the big potty and we haven’t looked back. I did buy a potty ring but usually she prefers to just sit on the big potty with me holding her. Beats wiping poop out of a potty chair, too! 🙂
I’m so impressed! Your photography is getting super awesome!
