I Finally did It!
2.5 years later, I got my Ironman pictures scanned in!
Here I am on the bike:
Crossing the finish line:
My bad side:
And the good (LOVE this picture!):
And right after-look at how happy I was! Shaun was standing right there and I wanted him in the picture and he said βYOU did this honey, this is YOUR time.β I get a little teary thinking about that. I have a pretty great husband and he was the best Ironfan EVER!
See? Proof. π Just kidding-I know no one was questioning me :) Sometimes itβs good for me to see though because it gives me that kick in the butt. I went from this:
To this:
I can do it again.
I will do it again (maybe not do an Ironman-I would love to but I would love to see my daughter grow up and hang out with my hubby even more). But, I WILL get in good shape again. I will be proud of my body. I WILL feel comfortable in my body again. I AM a strong woman and I CAN DO THIS.
By the way, I scanned all these in to add to my story. Check it out π
Thank you ALL for the support. It means so much to me and got me out of bed this morning at 5:30 to go to the gym. It was a good class!

Holy cow, look at those muscles!
Absolutely amazing! You are not only physically strong but mentally as well! Way to go chica!
I was there!!! (virtually π )
What an accomplishment! You know, I was taken with something in your previous post – when you were training for this, your weight was higher than you expected it to be but you still fit in smaller clothes. I think that is a huge testament to the power of exercise! Maybe take some focus off the number on the scale and go by how you look and feel in your clothes. You have much to be proud of!
Chelsea, you have me in tears right now! Look at you…you are all muscle. OMG what an amazing feeling that had to be. You go GIRL!
Wow, lady, I knew you were amazing but I had no idea how much! π
So awesome! You are such an inspiration! You can get there again and I am excited to watch your journey.
you are awesome!! i love the story andi love the pics!!
Holy crap–you look so happy and strong at the finish line! Those pics are awesome.
I always imagined people crawling over the line–haha…
Very, very inspiring. A good post to read when you have a case of the mean reds–picks u up and says JUST DO IT! I should patent that…hmmmm..may have been taken already.
WOW! SO impressed by this! What an accomplishment!
Oh.Em.Gee. You did an IRONMAN??? Ok so I made a drastic understatement when I said “don’t you run?” No wonder you laughed when I said I was super proud of my one and only 28 minute run on a treadmill…wow girl. you are IMPRESSIVE.
Thank you ALL for the support!
I never noticed the muscle until you all said something-thanks!
BethT-I’m staying away from the scale for a bit. I do need it for accountability but not everyday. Maybe every other week.
Jill-I did feel great crossing that finish line-it’s all in the training!
Leisel-I did NOT laugh at you for running 28 minutes-that’s FABULOUS. I was laughing WITH you silly girl. You’re a badass in your own right chickadee!
AMAZING! I just found your blog and read your “about” page. Hats off to YOU! Keep up the hard work! And, I know it’s hard. You look great! π
