The Wheels on the Bus
Lucy had her performance tonight. They did Wheels on the Bus and Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.
They had all the parents sitting in one of the classrooms on teeny tiny chairs.
Here’s Lucy coming in for her big moment:
She was happy and smiley at first:
Then she realized that there was a big crowd of STRANGERS watching her, she cuddled up to her friend Carter and looked like a deer in the headlights:
(I know it’s blurry, but she seriously stood there for a good 45 seconds just.like.that).
And then she decided that it was all too much and cuddled Miss Tisha:
And she pretty much stayed that way the entire rest of the time :( Poor thing.
If you REALLY want the full experience, I posted a video to You Tube. It’s over 3 minutes long and is really low res and she basically just stands there. It’s kinda sad but I captured her first performance! It’s only up from here, right?
No worries-she recovered!
Why yes, that IS black bean brownie all over my child and she IS reaching for more. She LOVED the black bean brownie. She came OUT OF HER ROOM before bed to ask for some more. We had to deny that request.

That was the cutest video ever! And for some strange reason I am sitting here smiling and tearing up at the same time! lol
I don;t know about you but my sensitivity towards “kiddy” things and pretty much anything sad is off the charts. I was NEVER a crier and now I find myself crying during 30 second commercials!
Tasha-the kids that are in the “twos” class made tears STREAM down my face. Some of them were in Lu’s class when she started daycare and the fact that Lu will be that big in less than a year REALLY hit me tonight and I totally cried. So yes, I completely AGREE!
omg that is the CUTEST thing ever!!!
Perhaps not entertaining as intended, but entertaining nonetheless! So cute!
My son loved Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes when he was Lucy’s age! So cute! Hilarious that she came out of her room looking for more black bean brownies!
Oh my she is just much too cute for me.. Her outfit is sooo cute she looks like a shrunken big person in those awesome pants!
I have heard great things about those brownies. Ok , so I hear it from Dr Oz but still . I am dying to try them out for myself.
I sang all by myself, in front of my entire class and all of the parents, when I was in kindergarten. Surely you can help her become that brave by then!
That was the cutest video. Poor kids were like ok I know the song but there are people looking. It’s great that you kept taping because now you can compare it to next years. BTW Ava was dancing around to the music.
Of course I watched the video. Can I just say that my heart wants my own little Lucy for myself?!?! She is the sweetest little girl. I love that she went for cuddles!!! 😀
OMG I CAN’T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!! THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO ROUND AND ROUND, ROUND AND ROUND, ROUND AND ROUND…….. 😀 😀 😀
Very funny. A classic example of stage fright!
Awww…cute video. Most of the kids were like why is everyone staring at me? Very funny.
[…] Lucy’s Winter Gala? Well yesterday was the Spring Gala! They sang The Itsy Bitsy Spider and Lu did much better […]
